Texas A&M-Galveston December Graduation Ceremony Moved to Online Format

November 23, 2020

By Texas A&M University at Galveston Division of Marketing & Communications

GALVESTON, TX, Nov. 23, 2020 - Texas A&M University at Galveston will be switching our December commencement ceremonies previously scheduled to be in-person on December 11 and 12 to one virtual online celebration aired Saturday, December 12 at 9 a.m.

Due to the significant rise in state and national COVID-19 cases, our geographical location, limited facilities, and timing of the holiday season, university officials made this difficult decision  in the best interest of the health and safety of our students and their loved ones, our faculty and staff.

As a university, we are incredibly proud of our entire 2020 graduating class. They have achieved their academic goals against seemingly insurmountable odds the likes of which we haven’t faced in modern history.

We all look forward to the day we can once again celebrate our Aggie by the Sea graduates in person. Until that time, please join us Saturday, December 12 at 9 a.m. for a livestream of the graduation celebration on Facebook. The ceremony will also be available on YouTube immediately following the conclusion of the livestream.
