Texas A&M University at Galveston’s Masters of Maritime Administration and Logistics graduate degree program is among the top ten programs worldwide and remains the top maritime program in the U.S. according to Eduniversal Group.

The program was named tenth in the “Best Masters Ranking in Maritime Management” category in its “Best Masters Ranking 2019 Eduniversal.” The rankings evaluated and ranked 4000 of the best masters and MBA programs within 30 fields of study worldwide.

“Texas A&M at Galveston is recognized as the place to define the emerging trends in maritime business and produce the future leaders for the industry,” said Dr. Joan Mileski, Maritime Business Administration Department Head. “These rankings enhance global recognition for our students and our research, as well as make student placement at high pay levels easier.”

The competitive program gives students the opportunity to elevate their learning and prepare them for leadership within the vast maritime industry. The coursework is a culmination of experienced experts sharing the latest advances from industry involving timely issues such as financial management, marketing of transportation services, international strategic planning and more.

Assistant Maritime Administration Department Head Dr. Kris Knox has taught financial management courses for the program and says these students possess a special attitude typical of Aggies.

“Our graduates from this program possess not only the knowledge, but also the ‘can do’ ability to complete any project,” he said.

There are several routes to completion of this degree, including an on-campus track that offers a license option, a five-year combined undergraduate-graduate program, a thesis option, and an online degree option. Upon graduation, students are placed in a prime position for successful leadership roles within the field of maritime administration.

The program has graduated around 30 students since its creation in 2011.
