Texas A&M University at Galveston is proud to host another Aggieland Saturday by the Sea Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The signature campus preview event is specifically designed to give prospective students a sneak peek into life as an Aggie by the Sea.

This event will be run through Zoom and will allow students to learn about the Galveston Campus's specialized ocean industry, science, engineering, university and liberal studies degree programs.

Texas A&M-Galveston’s Chief Operating Officer, Texas A&M University Vice President and Texas A&M Maritime Academy Superintendent Col. Michael E. Fossum ‘80 USAFR (Ret.) will give a welcome address, and our Yell Leaders will get attendees in the Fightin' Texas Aggie spirit!

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore Texas A&M-Galveston's unique ocean-oriented offerings, including an exclusive tour of our on-campus Sea Life Facility, a dynamic look at how we use our ship simulators to train Texas A&M Maritime Academy cadets, a close-up look at our SCUBA diving programs and diving minor, and much more.

Ambassadors from the Student Enrollment Services department will be on hand for a helpful Q&A session and members of the maritime academy administration will host an "Ask Me Anything" forum.

This event is designed as an all-access pass to showcase Texas A&M-Galveston to high school juniors, seniors and potential transfer students.

Aggieland Saturday by the Sea is normally an in-person event on the Galveston Campus, but due to ongoing safety concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have elected to move this year's preview days online.
