With Summer Sea Term 2023 fast approaching, the Texas A&M Maritime Academy announced several events both locally in Galveston and in our ports of call! This summer, cadets will sail from Galveston to Willemstad, Curaçao; Savannah, Georgia; San Juan, Puerto Rico; New Orleans, Louisiana and back to Galveston.
The annual Dock Party and Sail Away Flotilla will kick off SST ‘23 right here in Galveston, marking the beginning of a promising two-month semester at sea. Cadets must report on May 30, 2023, with the time to be assigned by their company. Student leadership will report four days prior, on May 26 at 1000.
After last year's success in Charleston, we are bringing back our "Taste of Texas: BBQ & Blue Bell" dock parties, planned for San Juan, Savannah and New Orleans. The public is invited to join us to tour the 540-foot training ship, sample barbecue and Blue Bell ice cream onboard, and enjoy dockside activities throughout the afternoon.
Check out all of the events on the Summer Sea Term 2023 events page.
